Dawson is a difficult call, in a game he both makes some excellent goal saving tackles and some bloomers to let them score. Problem is, two games a week is too much for him.

A bit hard to judge if we were very good or if they were just really poor. A good much needed result all the same with plenty of positives. Maybe the Palace game will tell us more if we are back on track or not..
I hope the rumours that Zouma being back soon are true as we can't keep playing Diop every week. He needs to be moved on in the summer, as said in 3 years he hasn't improved and very unlikely to now, as some of his shortcomings cannot really be coached.

Noble was majestic and quite deep.Apart from 15 mins in the 2nd half when the team went a bit to sleep.Fab made 2 excellent saves in this period. That's where he should be. Soucek had the same forward movements as he normally does with Rice there. Lanzini was closer to Noble and that helped defensively.
We concentrated our attacks down the left and that then left space on the right which Bowen exploited superbly.
As for defensive errors both Diop and Dawson made some.
Dawson's long balls (hahaha) out of defence don't really go anywhere. Diop hardly ever attempts them and is happy with the short ball. At least he had Johnson who could provide a better outlet than Masuaku plus by far a better tackler and positional player. Though I feel for most of the game Johnson was hampered by a dodgy hamstring. I doubt he will be available for the Palace game now . Let's hope Cresswell is back for that.
Watford for pretty awful tbefair and we could of had another couple.
Much better pace and direct balls.Benrhama shows us what he can do and will be missed in January.Vlasic will have to step up and his goal today was overdue and well timed.
Moyes still needs to make better use of his subs and youngsters.
not sure if Dawson is suspended for Palace now.

Just watched on MOTD
Far too good for Watford despite some ECCENTRIC refereeing.
Cant recall seeing VAR intervene for a tiny touch of toes that was deemed enough to rule out a goal ever before. As usual we are TRAILBLAZERS.
And the decision when Antonio was punished for getting pushed into a player was just remarkable.
Where do they get these clowns? And can we put them all in a mincer and get some proper referees?
Bowen outstanding again.

While the idea of having someone like Kral playing behind them is interesting, I’m happy with how Soucek is playing as the deeper midfielder. He’s still amazing at getting into goal scoring positions. It’s his finishing that’s letting him down. I assume that’s from nerves and is temporary?

That Soucek Rice dynamic is an interesting one. Rice is carrying the ball, but Soucek makes runs into space.
I don’t think they have found the right balance yet to allow both to play their most effective game at the same time.

I'm not so worried when we go a goal down these days as we've got a lot better at coming back.

Great result
What a worry when we went 1-0 down, those 2 goals were excellent, what elation.
Noble played well, good how he stayed back letting Soucek get forward. Lets face it Soucek going forward is better than Rice.
